you see im following footsteps that look a lot like mine, only smallerAND they seem to deprecate me following.
as if there's something im not supposed to find. like you stumblled upon a missing page you flipped past so fast, you forgot to lick your fingers that time.
these small prints of buckled shoes black and silver hurried off in and around the corner scampered backed up by this tree. something happened in this forest. something happened here.
unlike the chalked up sidewalks from 1992 of hopscotch & pogs this here reminds me of escaping my destiny. it's too late in the game to be born a superhero, get a cape and super powers.
its too late for me to wind up back at zero, starting over is not an option.
its too late to be worried but i am still following footprints that look a lot like mine, only smaller.
maybe it's fortuitous that i come across these tracks, but something tells me they'll lead me back.
consume the entire sea and you'll still find me listening for shrieking sounds of a screaming me , pleading liar liar i see right through you, rediscovering wounds that never will recover.
he said life is too hard to find when you're looking through plexliglass. he said he had a two way mirror and hes tired of seeing the world for what it really is.
the fight is to hard. im giving up, im moving on.
but these are the times that try mens souls remember.
si se puede. dont give up now.
so im followin these footsteps that look a lot like mine, only smaller.
si yo puede.
yes , i CAN, but this path seems like a coverup.
for something bigger better beautiful beyond means besting itself to bilingual culture that i have buried.
i find it strange that my black shoes with the silver buckle outshined themselves and only need reminding when i think of my 4 year old self.
my childhood is like the metaphor for everything I always analyze coming back to and never knowing why.
did something happen then that i have supressed?
beyond an imaginable -
doubt.
carried further than this path can unveil
i have reasonably left concealed.
these footprints that look a lot like mine, only smaller, only reveal
that i have plenty left ...
